Developed scalable and robust infrastructure to allow StumbleUpon to scale to over 1 billion contextual hits per month. Created scalable caching system/backend architecture for low latency page loads, cutting page load times from 1000+ of milliseconds to less than 10 milliseconds, which increased engagement and retention by 35%.
Created the AB-testing framework in use by the whole company which allowed StumbleUpon to grow from 10 million users to 30 million users in a few months. With the help of the infrastructure I created, we were able to handle to the massive traffic increase without any concerns.
